Why Hire A Business Coach?
So just to be upfront with you about my bias here, I am of the belief that we all need a therapist, and we all need a coach. Maybe even multiple coaches, if you have the capacity and you have a few things you need support in.
So why would you need a coach for your business in particular? Well, another belief I have is that we shouldn’t have to do this alone. Not our healing, and definitely not our business endeavors that have been born of our healing either.
I did that for a long time. I thought that since I wanted to be self-employed, it was up to me to figure this all out by myself. And honestly, I’m proud of how far I got on my own. Every obstacle I came across or thing I didn’t know how to do, I found a way to figure it out. I didn’t really have a roadmap or a plan. And it took me a really long time to get anywhere close to feeling like I actually had my own business, let alone was moving forward in it.
As I work with incredible, budding spiritual entrepreneurs and heart-centered side-hustlers, a common struggle keeps coming up again and again. They have so much to offer the world, but they’re stuck or in a slowly moving pace like I was.
This is the pattern I see affecting so many people I work with in this space:
New spiritual or wellness entrepreneurs don’t know how to move their business forward in order to bring in money and serve more people. Therefore, they don’t spend money on help and resources to move their business forward.
This is where they get stuck.
Being stuck looks like little to no forward movement. There are no new opportunities coming in. You’re making the same amount of money every week or every month from your business or service. You’re not locking in returning clients, you’re not expanding your community. You might actually be bringing in less and less money because things are dropping off and becoming sporadic. You’re at a standstill; you’re looking around you for your next step, but you’re not quite sure what it is. Or, you might not even know where to start to begin with.
You WANT to move forward because you know that when you do, you can help and serve more people. You can make a real difference and a bigger impact. That is the goal. But you need to get unstuck, and take a step, for this to become a reality.
I’ve made it my mission to break this cycle of standstill, and help spiritual entrepreneurs get unstuck. And help them get started in the first place!
Investing in my business was the missing piece that moved my business forward the fastest, and got me to the point of being fully self-employed in less than 3 months once I put these tools I developed to use.
That is a crazy short amount of time! I was sick of being stuck. I found a business coach, employed the things they taught me, and things took off.
Making this your full-time thing does not have to be your goal, but it totally can be.
However, the price-tag of that business investment stops people in their tracks. I’ve seen healers with an incredible gift stay side-lined because, not only did they lack the know-how to move their business forward, but they didn’t know how to find the money to get resources and help. An investment in your business is money you put into it to help it grow.
If this is you, you are not alone. I get it, and I have been there. How can you think about spending money on your spiritual, wellness business when your business isn’t making a whole lot of money in the first place??
A little bit at a time. I learned how to scale my business slowly, and I figured out how to gradually put money aside to invest in it. There are actual studies that show if you scale your business, slow and steady, you have a much higher rate of success and sustaining it!
So, I realized that I wouldn’t serve as many people with my gifts if I continued to stand still, and I had no choice but to find someone who could help me bring those gifts to more people.
And that’s why we’re here, right?? We believe in helping people.
We believe in the power of what we offer, and how it can positively impact the lives of the people we serve, or we wouldn’t be on this path in the first place.
If you can believe in this, you can believe in the importance of learning the tools to move your business forward and figuring out how to make the investment it takes to do that.
What you offer has value. It’s important. It doesn’t have to feel icky receiving a monetary exchange for what you do; in fact, generating income in your business actually allows you to grow and help more people.
I believe that if you change the status of your business, it has the potential to change your life.
If you change your life, you can change your family’s life.
If you change your family’s life, you can change the fabric of the community around you.
If you change the fabric of the community around you, you can change the lives of the people you serve.
And that is why we do what we do.
Here are some tools that business coaches can help you with, and these are the puzzles I help my mentoree’s solve:
Gaining clarity in your mission & purpose
Identifying who you will serve & how
Articulating your values as an entrepreneur
Telling your story & communicating your offerings
Branding yourself & your business
Developing packages, services, & products
Writing original content for website, blog, social media
Utilizing online tools - website, social media, email marketing
Strategy for making lasting connections with new clients
Building out your community & widening your impact
Honing your entrepreneurial spirit & developing a business mindset
Strategies for collaboration & networking
Selling (Ah, it’s not a dirty word! You can do it!)
Incorporating your personal healing journey in how you operate your business
Grounding yourself in your gifts & developing your confidence in what you offer
In all of this, I recommend doing some looking around to see who is a good fit for you. Most coaches will offer a free conversation to find out if your goals align with what they offer. I would also be super clear on your pain points, or where you are stuck, and have an idea of where you want to go. Your coach can help you get more clear on these things, but it does help to start thinking about it before your conversation.

Most of all, I want you to know that what you have to bring into the world is important. You have it on your heart for a reason. Entrepreneurship is basically a series of puzzles to solve, not obstacles. You can figure them out, and you do not have to do that solving alone!
